Christmas Pictures

We went and had Christmas and 9 month pictures taken of Lucas this weekend. These are the results. :)




These are his Christmas jammies. They came with that cute hat so I couldn't resist having pictures taken.

Now I know it seems a little weird to have bathtub pictures taken with Christmas pictures but I always wanted some and we don't get pictures taken that often, so I thought why not.

This is the one almost smile picture we got.

Happy Thanksgiving...a little late. :)

We went to Provo for Thanksgiving. It was a great trip and it was nice to see Wayne's family. Since moving to Carson City we have sorely missed being able to see family on a regular basis so it was nice to have an entire weekend with them. Here are some pics from our trip. Plus in even bigger news....Lucas is DONE with the helmet!!!! Hurray!!!! He was exited from his program 3 weeks early and we are thrilled with the results.

Check out his cool mowhawk. It is the first time he has had enough hair for a hairdo and not had to wear a helmet.

We went to the ancient life museum at Thanksgiving Point, and Lucas loved this shark. I personally thought it was a little scary but hey whatever floats your boat. :)

Lucas Crawling ... Almost

Lucas hasn't started to crawl yet, but he does do this army crawl thing. And of course the only things he wants to crawl after are Bentley's chew toys.

Lucas and Matilda

So a few weeks ago my friend Shelley came over with her (adorable) daughter Matilda to visit. Lucas and Matilda had a great time and I have been meaning to put the pictures up for awhile so here they are.

Here are the two kids...aren't they the cutest kids you have ever seen.

This is about 2 seconds after he was done getting fresh with Matilda's backside. He is such a lothario...and look at that smile...he totally knows it.:)

I like this one because of Matilda's tongue out. She is so cute and has about the bluest eyes I have ever seen on a little baby.

See what I mean...every now and then I think Lucas' eyes look blue and then I see Matilda's and I am like "Yeah...his aren't blue.":)

Lake Tahoe

So we have lived up here for a month and a half and decided it was finally time to take a trip out to Lake Tahoe. It was pretty cold and a little bit rainy but it was still fun to go out and see. There were some ducks on the beach where we stopped and Lucas loved them! Here are some pictures of our trip.

Halloween pictures of Lucas

We decided to get pictures taken of Lucas in his Halloween costume. He is such a cute little penguin!!! The only thing is that the costume doesn't fit over his helmet very well so I had to take it off for the shoot. Don't tell Dr. Amy!!! :)

I like to pretend that my child is smiling and happy all the time and that in all of the pictures he looks this pleasant.

This is the reality of how he acted for most of the shoot. :) I still think he is adorable though.

Home Sweet Home

Well I said I would post pictures of our new digs when the house was finally clean enough that I wouldn't be eternally embarrassed that pictures of it were on the Internet, so here they are. P.S See if you can spot my little shadow. I think Bentley is in every almost every picture.

This is the outside. Obviously.

This is the kitchen. It is actually really big, and probably my favorite room in the house.

This is the living room, it is pretty small in comparison to the kitchen but still nice.

This is Luke's room. Note the cool nameplates on the wall, one made by Wayne, and the other by my awesome BFF Eva.

This is the master...it is the last room we have tried to finish so there isn't anything on the walls yet.

Last but not least this is the office/ "we don't have anywhere else to put this junk" room.

So all in all not to shabby I say. :)

All Hail the Helmet!

Well we are finally here in Carson City. It is alright...quite an adjustment from Las Vegas where we have been living for almost 10 years. I will try a post some pictures of our house once it no longer looks like a hurricane blew threw. :)

As many of you already know Lucas had to get a helmet right before we moved. He was diagnosed with plagiocephaly, which is basically just a fancy way of saying he had a misshapen head from always turning his head the same way as a newborn. The helmet helps correct it so he won't be the kid with the lopsided head when he grows up. It is kind of like braces...for your head. It is totally cosmetic and in no way affects development which is a relief. His case is pretty mild so he only has to wear if for 2-3 months. He wears it 23 hours a day. He gets to take it off for an hour for a bath and some time for he poor little head to breath. Anyway I wanted to post some pictures of him in is helmet because he is totally adorable. :)

He is pretty pleased with his new look.

This is the back. It is pretty dangerous to wear UNLV gear up here in the land of the Wolfpack. But hey...we aren't scared. Rebel fans for life!!!!! :)

Carson City or Bust!!!!

Well as many of you know Wayne has been on the job hunt since getting his Master's degree. Well we have been blessed to find a great job....in Carson City. We will be moving up there on the 1st of October. It is only a temporary job as it is with the Legislature (it only last through legislative session) so come June we will be on the job hunt again, but it is great experience and something Wayne will enjoy. We are so excited to start a new chapter in our lives. I don't have any pictures from up there to post yet, so I will just include in this post Lucas' 6 month photos that we just got done. He was very serious this time. :)

Eagle Valley!!!

My cousin Cassie got married last weekend so we went up to Eagle Valley. It was a lot of fun and it was good to see all the people from the L.C., as well as my family. We got a lot of cute picture including some of Lucas trying to sample the wedding dessert. :)

This is swimming....you can keep it!!!!

It has been forever since I have posted, but I finally have some time so I am adding some photo's of Lucas swimming with his cousins Dylan and Drew. He was not that impressed, but he didn't hate it. :)
