Update and pics of the petting zoo

It has been forever since I have posted...we have had a lot going on. The biggest news is that Wayne got a job!!! We have been living here in Carson City because Wayne got hired on as a session researcher, which basically meant that come the end of June we were unemployed again. But thanks to lots of prayer and faith he was hired on as a regular employee at his current job...so yay for not moving.:)

These pictures are of our trip to the petting zoo with Shelley and Matilda. This was actually quite awhile ago but I hadn't posted them yet. Lucas is normally a very, very cautious child. He thinks everything through and if it looks even remotely dangerous he will look at me like "Yeah right Mom!" It is actually pretty funny. :) Well when animals are involved that is the only exception to his cautious nature. He loved it!

This is the only picture with him facing me because he was way to enthralled with the animals to turn around for a picture. Even in this one he is looking at the other animals.

He loved these deer. You can go in the pen and pet them but Lucas' mom is a sissy. :)

He chased this peacock all over. He just loved it especially when it would put its feathers up. He would laugh and laugh.

This is him showing Matilda the tortoise. I love this picture because it looks like they are having a conversation.

Sacramento Zoo

On Memorial Day we decided at the last minute to go to Sacramento and go to the zoo. Wayne had the day off and it was great to go somewhere and do something as a family. (This is one of 3 new posts that I am doing today...so check out the other 2 below.)

These are the flamingos and they were one of Lucas' favorite animals...probably because they were so close and he could see them really well.

It was a lot of fun and a great family trip.

This is Lucas and Matilda at Gymboree...and this is about the only thing Lucas would play on. They had all kinds of slides and tunnels and fun stuff...but Lucas is a little cautious and wasn't about to risk falling. :) Matilda was a stud and did everything. Way to go Matilda!

Matilda's Birthday

So it has been awhile since I posted and we have done a lot of things since then. The first was my good friend Shelley's daughters birthday. It was at a great park and we had lots of fun...some of the best pictures are below.
