Finally an update

Here is what Lucas' head wound looks like now. It actually looks really good compared to what I thought it was going to look like. The pediatrician thinks it will continue to fade and by the time he is a teenager you probably won't be able to see it.

Lucas moved from his crib into his big boy bed and thinks it is awesome. Here he is enjoying it.

We went to the Sacramento Zoo a few weeks ago and here is Kellen enjoying his ride in the stroller.

Kellen is such a smiley baby. He is pretty happy all the time...until about 6 o'clock. It is all downhill from there.

We are grooming him to be a football player. His is already working on carrying the ball. :)

Lucas loved his pacifier, but Kellen is a thumb sucker all the way. This is him enjoying some thumb for dinner.

Don't look if you're squeamish!!

I swear if I never see the Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center again I would be ok with that. We have been there 3 times in the past 3 months. (Although one was when we had Kellen and that one I am good with. :)) Yesterday Lucas bashed his head on one of the corners of the wall in our living room. It was a pretty horrible gash so we took him to the ER. They glued him up, and now we are just waiting for him to heal. Hopefully it won't scar to bad but I told Lucas that chicks dig scars so either way it will be ok. :) Here are the pictures. They aren't the best quality because they are from Wayne's cell phone but it was all we had. Again don't look if you are squeamish.

And here is it in all its glory. Disgusting right. Lucas didn't like it either. There was a mirror at the hospital and he kept looking at himself and then asking Wayne and I to take it off. He did great and he is still one of the two best looking boys on the planet (the other of course being Kellen :))

Kellen's Blessing, 4th of July, and More!!!

Warning!! Very long post, because I am so far behind. We have had a lot going on so here are some pictures of our last few big weeks.

This is the beginning of one of Kellen's smiles. I need to get a full one but I thought this one was pretty cute too.

Here is Kellen on his big day. He did good and didn't even cry through the blessing. Wayne did a great job.

Here is one of the fireworks from 4th of July. I though Lucas might be scared because they are loud but he loved them and is always asking for more. :)

I just put this picture on because it is funny. These are Lucas' snow pants. He is wearing them over his Buzz Lightyear pajamas. He ran around the house yelling "To infinity, and beyond!"

This is at our wards 4th of July BBQ. These are all the little kids Lucas' age. They spontaneously decided to all sit together on the side of the hill. Aren't they cute? Lucas is in the light blue shirt.



These are our pictures from when we took Lucas to see Toy Story 3. He LOVES the first two so while our parents were here we took him while we had a babysitter. He thought it was great...I blubbered through the whole thing. I think I am turning sissy in my old age.

Not much has been going on here lately but I did want to put a few new pictures up. For Lucas' birthday we bought him a little trampoline...needless to say it was on back order and arrived about a week ago...keep in mind his birthday was in March. Nevertheless he LOVES it. As a bonus it tends to wear him out. :)

Lucas loves watching cartoons on our bed...this is how we found him recently. That doesn't look comfortable! I think it is funny that Bentley is sleeping in there with him...I have a feeling eventually Bentley will end up spending all of his time with Lucas.

Here is Lucas giving his brother a kiss. This happens about a million times a day, Lucas loves his brother so much.

Here is Kellen...he is now 6 weeks old. At his one month appointment he weighed in at 11lbs 10oz. Lucas didn't weigh that much until he was almost 4 months old! Check out that double chin.

Kellen One Month Pictures

I can't believe my little baby is almost a month old. Here are his one month pictures along with a few of the 2 boys and a family picture.






This picture makes me laugh. Lucas looks so pleased and Kellen definitely doesn't. :)

My poor little baby!

So it has been an eventful couple of days in our home. On Thursday evening Kellen threw up and then started to choke. He turned blue and we rushed him to the emergency room. He was still a little blue when we got there but he was breathing so they gave him some oxygen, took some blood and some x-rays. They kept him overnight for monitoring. His blood oxygen level kept fluctuating between 85 and 95. They wanted him to stay at 90 or above but the doctor felt like he was safe to go home on Friday evening. It wasn't fun being in the hospital and the choking was even worse. Needless to say I am an even more paranoid mother now, but I am so grateful that everything is fine and he seems fine now.

Here he is when he got home. The tape from the oxygen gave him horrible rashes on his little cheeks.

This is this morning, the rash has actually gotten a little better. We are so grateful that you are O.K. Kellen baby!

Introducing Kellen!!!!

Kellen Thomas Thorley was born on April 26th at 8:18 p.m. He was 9 lbs. 5 oz. and 18.5 inches long. He and mom are doing great. Here are a few pictures of our new little guy.

This is right after he was born. He was a lot more vocal than Lucas was. :)

Lucas Watering the Lawn

I know I just posted....

So I know that I just posted but we got a digital copy of the picture of Lucas with the Easter Bunny today and I HAD to post it.

Doesn't he just look absolutely thrilled to be there. He loved him from far away and he carries the picture all over the house now, but at the time you would of thought I was torturing the poor kid.

Throwing Rocks and the Animal Ark

A couple of weekends ago we were able to go down to the river to throw rocks (which is one of Lucas' favorite things to do) and we also went to the Animal Ark which is an animal sanctuary north of Reno.



These 2 pictures are of Lucas "walking" Bentley on the way to throw rocks. In all reality if was more Bentley walking Lucas. :)

Here are my two boys. You can tell how much Lucas likes it because he is actually smiling for the picture. He is usually Mr. Stoic.

These are from the playground at the Animal Ark. It was the first time he went down one of the twisty slides. Usually he will get to the top and chicken out but maybe he is getting more courageous. :)

Most of the animals at the sanctuary use to be used for TV or film so they aren't scared of people. They come right up to the glass which is nice because at zoos a lot of times Lucas couldn't see any of the animals.

This is Lucas with a snow fox in the background. It was sooooo cold. Luckily we had brought Lucas' hat and gloves because he needed them.

This is Wayne and Lucas in front of the bear cage. This is one of the few animals Lucas was afraid of, I think just because it was so big and would come right up to the fence.

This is us taking a break on the hike up Mt. Everest to see the bears. (So maybe it wasn't that big a hill but at nine months pregnant I sure felt like Sir Edmund Hillary. :))
